<p style="text-align:justify;">Whatever else 2012 may turn out to be or not to be, it will bring change to the IONS Community Group Network and, by extension, IONS Austin.  Gloria Hill, Group Coordinator for 2012 and Regional Representative for Texas, urges members and friends to attend this first meeting in the new year to hear about the upcoming changes and  how our group can contribute to and benefit from the process. We&#8217;ll also discuss our own plans for 2012 and invite renewing members to participate. (Join/renew online using the <a href="https://ionsaustin.wordpress.com/join/">Membership</a> tab.)</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">At 7:00, astrologer <a href="http://www.stariel.com" target="_blank">Anne Beversdorf </a>and channeler <a href="http://www.earthchangesand2012.com/" target="_blank">Sal Rachele</a> will offer perspectives on the &#8220;<a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2012_phenomenon">2012 phenomenon</a>&#8221; followed by group discussion. Those wishing to continue the conversation after the meeting are invited to gather at <a href="http://www.bluestarcafeteria.com" target="_blank">Blue Star Cafeteria</a>.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;"><span style="color:#9999ff;"><strong>Program</strong></span></p>
<p><strong><a href="http://www.stariel.com" target="_blank"><img class="alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-4046" style="margin-left:0;margin-right:10px;" title="Anne Beversdorf" src="http://ionsaustin.files.wordpress.com/2011/12/beversdorf.jpg?w=109&#038;h=150" alt="" width="109" height="150" />Anne Beversdorf, MSIS</a><br />
&#8220;Who Are We Becoming?&#8221;<br />
</strong></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">Following up on her presentations three years ago (<a href="https://ionsaustin.wordpress.com/2009/01/27/the-wild-ride-to-2012/" target="_blank">The Wild Ride to 2012</a>), Anne Beversdorf (<a href="http://www.stariel.com/services/about-anne/" target="_blank">bio</a>),  is confident that 2012 will continue to bring the same surprises, events, and upheavals that we have been witnessing for the last few years—and that, as a species and as a planet, we are doing what we have always done well: adapting to change. Her presentation this year will  address mythologies, astrological patterns, and social trends related to external events and suggest influences that will help us participate in, harmonize with, and embrace the changes ahead.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">Beversdorf will also be on an astrological panel at 7 p.m. on January 20 at <a href="https://www.aoma.edu/" target="_blank">AOMA</a> in South Austin, where she will offer a <a href="http://www.stariel.com/articles-2/jyotish-the-astrology-of-india/" target="_blank">Vedic</a> perspective on the coming year.</p>
<p><strong><a title="Sal Rachele" href="http://www.salrachele.com/" rel="http://www.salrachele.com" target="_blank"><img class="alignleft wp-image-4055" style="margin-left:0;margin-right:10px;" title="rachele" src="http://ionsaustin.files.wordpress.com/2011/12/rachele.jpg?w=109&#038;h=167" alt="Sal Rachele" width="109" height="167" /></a><a href="http://www.salrachele.com/" target="_blank">Sal Rachele</a><br />
&#8220;Earth Changes 2012 and Beyond&#8221;</strong></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">Human potential pioneer Sal Rachele, founder of Alpha-Theta Seminars in the late 1970s, studied rebirthing, meditation, healing arts, and sacred theatre during the ’80s and ’90s, and currently maintains a private counseling, reading, and healing practice in northern Arizona.  Rachele is the author of <a href="http://www.salrachele.com/lifeonthecuttingedge.htm" target="_blank"><em>Life On the Cutting Edge</em></a> (1994), <a href="http://www.earthchangesand2012.com/"><em>Earth Changes and 2012</em></a> (2008), and <a href="http://www.salrachele.com/" target="_blank"><em>Earth Awakens: Prophecy 2012–2030</em></a> (2011).</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;"><span style="color:#9999ff;"><strong>NOTE:</strong></span> Attendees wishing to hear more from Rachele are invited to attend his full-length program the following evening in Pflugerville, which will include channeling and information about his new book (click <a href="http://www.austinmuse.com/ionsaustin/wordpresscom/speakers/2012-01-11_rachele.htm" target="_blank">here</a> for details and map).</p>
